Tuscarora Tails - Providing a lifetime of love and companionship

Steve and Dixie Steve and DixieBillie - I just wanted to give you an update about "Drake" (aka Sean). He is such a wonderful puppy, I can' thank you enough! He has really just stolen our hearts, something that I feared would never happen after losing our Daisy to cancer in May. It is so obvious that you and your family took great care in raising him, he is a wonderfully socialized puppy who adjusts easily to new situations. He is such a happy little guy, his tail just wags constantly! As you know, I was somewhat hesitant about buying from a breeder, since I spend much of my time vounteering at a shelter. But as soon as we met you and the dogs, I knew we were doing the right thing. Its so obvious that your dogs are well taken care of and loved. I was so impressed with how clean the areas were, especially with so many puppies! Its very apparent that you and your family breed your pups for the love of the breeds, not as a money maker! I wish more breeders took the time and care that you do with Trixie and Annie. Thank you so much for all your updates and pictures along the way, as well. I hope that you don't mind if we send you pictures from time to time to show you his progress. He had his first vet appointment last Friday, and the entire office just loved him. My vet said that he looks happy and healthy. We decided to name him "Wesley Drake Bartley". We call him "Drake" but I wanted to include Wesley's name in there since he was his first "owner". I hope your son doesn't mind! Thanks again for everything, and please let me know if you decide to have puppies with Sunny. Drake might need a sister!! Steve and DixieSteve and DixieHi Billie!
We can't say enough about Lu! Attached are a few pictures from a fun fall day with her, the one where she is laying down she is so proud of herself for mastering the "down" command. We were looking for someone to share our love and Lu is a perfect fit. She is full of energy, loves to play with other people, and quickly makes new four-legged friends in the neighborhood. She is eager to learn and is so proud of herself for mastering new tricks. Dog-loving strangers stop to comment on her appearance and try to talk us into showing her because of her markings. Jeremy and I were planning her arrival for months and we so appreciated your patience, advice, and updates. We read the book you recommended (and several others) and Lu challenges us every day to be more aware of our own actions and emotions. Your family set the foundation for her socialization and we appreciate the head start. Truly, we are grateful to have met you and your family and to welcome Lu into ours. Without her, we wouldn't have little holes in the backyard or doggie treats in our pockets everywhere we go!
Thanks again. All the best to you and your family!     Amy and Jeremy

Steve and DixieTo the Blevins Family,
We hope that everyone at the Blevins family are doing well. Can you believe that Millie is now over 20 pounds, and still growing...see photos of Millie and Timmy together. What a pair they make. We are attending training classes with Millie, and Millie got her first winter sweater and that is her jungle gym and she loves chasing balls down the slide. I'm afraid that I am going to have to build a bigger slide for her soon. Jeanne, the boys and I are just amazed how well she has adopted her new family, us, and we are blessed. Hope you enjoyed the update!
God Bless     - The Spohns (Now if we could only get Millie to stop tugging on poor Timmy's ears...)

Rosemary and Geza with their new puppy

Dear Billie and Rex,
Thank Heavens for Daniel, he’s stolen our hearts!  You’re truly an amazing couple.  When I contacted you in early August ’07 looking for a puppy, after our life-long friend Zebulun passed away, it was as if I contacted my best friend.  Your kindness and compassion was above and beyond. We both want to thank you for every accommodation you made to make sure we could get to meet Daniel.  Since we did not live close by you, you could have simply found him another home, but instead you held him for us until we were able to make it out to PA on the weekend. We were in awe over this alone!  Also, we were totally impressed with the living quarters for the Puppies, and Daniel’s Mother.  You have all worked very hard and we were incredibly impressed. Your boys were pure delight and learning so much from you both.
Daniel has every virtue of the breed…all rolled up into one puppy…what an amazing feat. It is a privilege to be with him, and love him. He has changed our lives in such a short time. And now, we all live happily together with the cutest, sweetest, most adorable, did I mention the smartest?..... puppy in the world.  We thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
Love, Rosemary and Geza

DixieSteve and DixieHi Billie!
It is hard to believe that Dixie will soon be a year old! I just wanted to send a couple pictures of her over the last year so you can see how she's grown. She is a beautiful dog and very well mannered. We couldn't ask for a better pet. She went to training at Pet Smart in the winter and that helped a great deal. We're planning to take her to a couple more classes. Steve has taken her hunting with him quite a few times and she will be an excellent hunting dog. She loves chasing birds and loves jumping in any water that is nearby! Dixie has been good around the baby. She is very curious and likes to smell him all the time.
Take care!     Jen and Steve
